Two bloody nil. Holy expletive deleted. I didn't see that one coming. My pessimism pays off again.

So Denmark won the group. Ahead of Senegal. Defending champions France are out. And I hear people saying it's sad because they have such great players and it's a loss for the world cup that they're gone. Well, listen up folks! Those great players didn't score a single goal in 3 games. Doesn't sound like much of a loss to me. You want the quarter finals to be a lot of great players playing 0-0? No, thanks. Senegal was ten times more exciting. And Denmark is the bee's knees of course.

And now we're in the second round. And the next game is on Saturday so I don't have to skip work. I emailed Bent saying I was sick today. That's so much better than just staying away and not calling because phones scare me. Much easier.

That was the main event today. Denmark beating France. On a beautiful rainy day. I actually felt cold when I went to bed last night. I miss being cold. If you're not cold then you can't get warm under your blanket.

Yup. Some days start out good and just keep getting better. Aah. And tomorrow is another day.
