clix?
Ever-so-slowly. It's melting away. Waking up to the sound of trickling water. What a horrible feeling. But at least it's not all gone yet. And the weather forecast says there's a chance for more snow next week. I hope so. This week has been so gorgeous. I can tell you how beautiful I think it is but it doesn't really explain how wonderful, how perfect, I find it. It really makes me happier. It's been more than two weeks since I've felt any depression. Animals and snow and progress. It's not bad, not bad at all. And I'm still enjoying the snow immensely. Today I have to sum up two days in pictures so you know there will be a lot. Why don't we just get the basics out of the way first?
Snow.
SNOW.
SNOW!!! Oh orgasmic. Fountain of youth. Clouds of heaven. Little freckles on a girl. Tops of muffins. Ambrosia. Garmonbozia. Oops, sorry. Been reading too much about Twin Peaks lately. I need to rewatch that soon. Anyway. Snow was what I came from. Remember the snowman? The Heavy Metal Snowman, as dubbed by Katherine. Poor guy.
Typical. Damn vandals. He might have been a rock'n'roll kinda snowman but that doesn't mean he deserved to be trashed. I don't get why anyone would do that. Idiots. Oh well. Did not ruin my mood totally. With all the snow and happy people.
And for you party people out there, beer's beer, dude! Work was busy as usual. I love my happification folder. It was one of my long days, yesterday. Usually on those days I run home as fast as I can to relax. But yesterday I stopped off at the playground. I was only planning to walk through it and say hi to the animals and get home quickly. But what can you do when you have a soft heart? I ended up hanging out for a little while. When there is snow and animals around then suddenly my desire to get back home isn't so strong. I cuddled Blackie. Really cuddled. Usually I just stroke him on the back mostly but this time I was stroking his neck and scratching him and he was rubbing his face against my arm. Hehe. It was fun. Almost like when you see the goats rubbing themselves against the fence or something. Itchy and Scratchy. And something else happened that was quite fun. A family came along. And they had a dog.
You can't really see it on the picture, but this dog was very eager. He was dragging his owner along. It reminded me of vacation with Skye, when we took a walk with Sascha. And Sas wanted to chase the chickens that were walking free. You know, when a dog wants to chase something and the owner holds the leash tight, the dogs front legs sort of go up in the air because it wants to run forward. That's what this dog dig. All the time. Not to chase any of the animals. He just wanted to go where he wanted to go quickly, I guess. He didn't go after the animals. But the gang took notice of him. By "the gang" I mean Blackie, Kees, Mother Sheep and her two lambs. They were all in the sheep fold together. Remember the last time I was there, they almost fought to get food and to protect the hay dispenser. Well this time they all very quickly agreed that this eager dog was bad news. They rushed away from the fence and stood huddled up together. Like wagons in a circle on the prairie. The dog wasn't going after them or barking at them or anything. But he obviously spooked them a lot. And as the dog and owner walked past the sheep folder you could see them all sort of follow him, watching him go away. I might not be explaining it very well, but look at the pictures instead then.
Hehe. You can almost see them following the dog with their eyes, making sure he's not coming back. A very eager dog. When I walked past him he started going towards me too like that. But the owner had the leash tight. And I'm sure it's a nice doggie. They had three little girls with them and the dog didn't mess with them. A nice family it seemed.
The lambs are so big. Almost as big as their mother. Only less shaggy. If their wool had grown as much as their mother's then maybe they would be the same size all in all. A good day, despite the football going bad. But that's not going to get me down. Today was good too. I was very tired at work though. I haven't napped all week. I'm glad it's weekend now. After work I once again stopped by at the playground. I wanted to cuddle Blackie some more, hehe.
Blackie and Black Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder share an intimate moment.
And then Blackie shares a moment with a stick. I had bought some bread for myself, but I couldn't resist giving some to Blackie and Kees. Still the old softie.
Kees was nice. Still a bit jumpy. But I stood still and held my hand out and he sort of came up to me and sniffed it a bit and at least he didn't run away. I will win his trust yet. Blackie has no problem with trust. It's hard to keep him away hehe. I was vocal today too. For the first time I really spoke to the animals. Normally I would feel too self conscious. But there weren't any people around, not too close anyway. And I just had fun. Blackie kept trying to eat my coat. So I had to tell him what a silly goat he was. And I petted the lambs, and even mother sheep. So I had to tell them they were being good. And tell Kees that he's a good boy. It was nice, letting go a little. Actually laughing out loud, talking to them. It makes all the tension go away, it frees the mind. Eases everything. And I like the horses more and more. The goats and sheep are smaller and fuzzier and jumping around and Blackie does crazy things and so on. But the horses are big and warm and calm. And I know it's just my silly human mind projecting things, but their eyes just seem deep and intelligent. Like they understand what's going on. Like they can see inside you and they know. They know. They are beautiful. I should get some carrots or something. You can feed carrots to horses right? Or something else. They deserve to get something too. I love that place. And now it's weekend. Wonderful. I was doing some updating on plumehistory and came across these: Lasse's Deep Thought For The Day: Even if you bring an umbrella it will still rain I wonder why I stopped doing those? They were goooood. Finally today I want to thank Julie for being a great sport and sending me a lovely snow greeting. The snow is just falling everywhere. Wonderful. More people should send me stuff. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Blessed be, by the snow spirit. clix
