feeling pulled apart by horses

It's been another hard day at work. The plans to make the attic into a computer center has meant lots cleaning up. Today we had to move things down from the balcony. Down the narrow stairs. Mostly planks from tables. Big heavy table tops. Down the narrow stairs. I hit my knee on one of them. My back and legs will be hurting again tomorrow I bet. I was sweating like a pig. A pig being roasted over a fire. A hot fire. At least there was no dust and dirt and old insulation in my eyes and throat.

But still hard work.

Oh well. I got to take one of our chairs with me home. Weee. Rock on. I have my very own barn chair now. Cafer and I were throwing them in the dumpster. After we had gotten all the table planks down. Then came the chairs. And then the rest of the junk. And eventually I staggered home. With my very own chair.

Score.

Now I'm just sitting around waiting for my back to start aching. I'm looking forward to the day when my physical condition is so good that a little hard labour doesn't make me feel like someone ran me through the meat mincer.

Other notable highlights of the day: I finished my first mix! Good stuff. It's here in all it's supposed glory. I still have to work on the mixes I promised various people. You know who you are. At least I hope you do. I'm not trying to jinx your soul searching. Anyway, doesn't matter how long it takes. I'm having fun.

And the war is still going on. Last I heard.

It seems strange to me when people are proud of the war. Americans. "America kicks ass". Yeah wow. You're whoopping some backwaters little country in the middle of nowhere. It's like a 20 year old being proud that he can beat up the 10 year olds. Some of the Iraqi soldiers seem to be falling over backwards trying to give themselves up. I always thought that PoWs were prisoners of war that were actually captured during fights or something like that. Not Prisoners of War that walked up and said "I give up". Meh. I don't want to seem anti-American, because I'm really not. I just think it's strange to be proud of the war or what your country is doing in the war. Even if you think the war is the right thing to do now, it's still not something to be proud of. My dad can beat up your dad, that doesn't make me proud. It makes me think our dads should find a better way to solve their problems.

I really don't understand why Denmark is involved with it. Fair enough, Bush wants to go to war. That doesn't mean we have to tag along. How many other European countries have contributed like we have? I don't understand. But of course our economy is going to benefit. Apparently we're going to export more to America. As a thanks for our support. And our prime minister says that we should make sure that Danish companies play a big role when the rebuilding starts down there. It make sense I guess. Lay waste and make money from the rebuilding. Gokke.

They said on TV earlier that the American forces had killed a thousand Iraqis over the last 72 hours. How can that be something to be proud of? Even if it means America is winning the war or whatever.

I'm proud that I've gone to work for 3 months without skipping a day.

Funny that.

Peace on Earth.
