clix?
I guess it took them a while to determine the sex. Or maybe I just wasn't paying attention enough. She's still a cutie though.
I had a very good time at the playground today. Learned some interesting things. You remember Kurt? The supervisor I have talked to a couple of times. He owns the animals. The sheeps and goats at least. Apart from Mads. Mads belongs to the playground. But the other goats and the sheepies, those are Kurt's. I guess he has a farm somewhere. So that explains why the animals sometimes come and go. I thought the playground owned them all. But Kurt just "loans" them out. Apparently Kurt has promised the kids that they can keep Magnethe if she becomes tame. And she's just about the tamest goat I have ever seen so I think that must be a given. That's great of course, I hope she'll stay. But I did sort of understand from one of the other supervisors that Magnethe is going to be a replacement for Mathilde. One of the kids asked if Mathilde was going to have another kid. And the supervisor said that she would next year. But then she corrected herself and said that it would be Magnethe who would have a kid next year. Because she's Mathilde's replacement. So, some time in the future Mathilde will leave. And go live on Kurt's farm I imagine. That's sad. I love Mathilde. I wish she could stay. I guess it's natural that she's special to me. With the connection we have. We have a connection together that no one else has with her. That touches me. Again today one of the kids asked me why Mathilde wasn't afraid of me. It seems to surprise everybody. It's special. It makes me feel special. I'm talking more and more with the kids. I guess you could see it as the next step. Step one is socializing with animals. They are so easy to connect with. And kids is the next step. It's easier than talking to adults. Like practicing talking without all the pressure. I was asked twice today why I always go to the goats and why I always take pictures of the animals. Both times I replied "because I like them so much". That was an easy answer.
The girls wanted to be photographed again. They' cute. They came over to see the picture. You can't see it that well on the lcd display, especially with all the sunshine. But still fun to show them. They even wanted me to play with them. They asked me to go and play with them on the seesaw thing. It's not really a seesaw I think, just don't know what to call it. I said I couldn't because I had to be going. I guess even socializing with kids can be hard too. I got a little scared. But it's progressing. It's pretty mind blowing to me that they actually asked me to play with them. Maybe one of the next times I will be able to do it. As I was leaving they yelled out for me to come back. And take one more picture.
They're standing on the seesaw thing there. I don't know what it's called. But you get the picture. Very fun. That playground is going to be my salvation. I can't begin to say how lucky I am to have found that place. And to have become a part of it, somehow. Oh, there was a little lamb adventure today too. Just like Magnethe, they are growing. They go exploring a lot more. They don't mind being away from their mama now. I was sitting outside the goat's house. Hanging out with the goats. And then the lambs came looking.
They walked right past us and into the goat house. It was so funny, the three goats all stood still and looked at the lambs in disbelief. I could just imagine them thinking "What the hell do those lambs think they're doing? That's OUR house". And then in unison Mads, Mathilde and Magnethe all got up and went into their house. Like a posse going to evict the squatters.
The lambs were kinda cornered in there. The goats blocking their way. I think suddenly they wanted their mama back. After a little huffing and puffing they got out okay. I know I have mentioned it before but it really is adorable how different the two lambs are when it comes to the baahing. The black one is so damn loud, I think he's the loudest of all the animals at the playground. Which just makes it even more funny when the white one tries and his voice is all squeaky and not nearly as loud.
Here they are looking down at the road. That's where Magnethe went yesterday when I got worried. But nothing happened luckily. That's all for today. I'm feeling good. Friday is a holiday in Denmark so it's almost weekend too. I wonder if the playground is open on Friday. It's closed in the weekends. That always annoys me. Because it would be much easier to go in the weekend. Today was actually the first time I went to the playground after biking home from work. Legs all tired, but that didn't stop me. I'm glad it didn't. It's definitely worth the tired legs. Okay, bye bye! clix
