Just a perfect day

Swinging moods.

It's much too hot.

I went out for a nice long walk today. That was good. Despite the heat. At least everything looks beautiful in the sun. Kids playing in the park. I miss soccer. Everytime I hear people kicking a ball about I get the craving. I miss the good old days, out on the pitch with the mates. I love football. Soccer. I miss it so.

Also I voted today. For the first time ever. I wasn't really going to. Due to depression and things going on I really haven't been paying attention to things. But Skye thought it was important that I did. So I tried it out. It went okay, even though the voting place was a bit intimidating. It was in a gymnastic hall in a school. With squeaking floorboards and people sitting at tables watching you walk through the room. No wonder I have never voted before. I could feel the social phobia creeping up my spine. But I got it done. My first vote. EU parliament. Exciting stuff. Nevermind the voter apathy. For once I am not part of that.

I voted for Poul Nyrup, our former prime minister. And guess who got a smashing election? That's right. Good old Poul 'bicycle helmet' Nyrup. Hey, I'm in the majority. What a great feeling. Mainstream, middle of the road. If I have any ambition then that is it. To be unnoticeable. To get lost in the crowd.

I was going to make some sort of joke about the Olsen twins turning 18 but now I just feel very old.

Call me when they're 25.
