If you were lucky enough to catch my last entry then you should have figured out that I managed to install my new hard drive. Weet. I now have 100 gigabytes all in all. That is good. Very good. No more deleting stuff. I am happy about that.

It did take some work. I had to install rails and configure the old one to be a slave and on and on. Messing about with the insides of a computer. Daunting. And I had to pull the power from the cd drive. I need more power. I will ask Peter if there's a way to get extra cables from the power unit thingie. So I can use my cd-rom drive too. That would be a plus.

After much working and general fear I put it all together and turned on the computer. And it wouldn't recognise my c: drive anymore. Yikes. no c: drive = no windows. Yikes. I thought it would be another "I try. I fail. What else is new" scenario. I was going to undo everything I'd done and just take the whole computer with me to work and let Peter help me. But then I got the very good idea to pull the IDE cable from the cd-rom drive. And that fixed it all. Guess having a powerless cd drive on the IDE cable screwed things up. Perfect logic, don't know why I didn't think of that.

So anyway. I managed to partition and format it all and it's working fine. 60 gigabytes of free space *drools*. And I didn't even delete my old drive by mistake. How neat.
wipe the slate clean
Yeah, I'm happy about that. I managed to do it. Instead of failing and wasting money and relying on other people. It's good. I'm a king among men. And some women. I have 3 hard drives in my computer. I am insane. I love it.
I rock. I'm seriously.
And the long shower went well. Didn't even cry. I almost did over the soccer though. But whatever. The most important thing is I managed to do the hard drive thing. Come on, why aren't you cheering?
Thundering water
Tomorrow I will have to go to work. I am not overly happy about that. I feel tired when I think about it. I need a vacation. Even though I practically spent all last week home sick. Oh well. Only 3 weeks till christmas. I'll at least get 4-5 days off then. Maybe I can scam myself into getting more. It's christmas. I need a vacation.
I feel the great need to escape
Why is it called apples and oranges? Why not apples and futons? Or apples and dairy products. Those would be totally different things. It would make a lot more sense.
