As others were; I have not seen

Agh. I'm losing too many files. It's not good. No good. Especially the Radiohead and R.E.M. ones. It'll be harder to get them back. I don't know where I'd get the R.E.M. ones. Since the big server closed down. Bloody herr.

Oh well. It's nice and soft Saturday. Doing nothing. Trying to stay away from the hard whirry noise of mp3 death. Watching videos instead. I watched Planet of the Apes. The 2001 version of course. An okay bit of entertainment. Impressive apes. But as a Tim Burton movie it doesn't quite live up to the expectations of course. It's fairly quickly forgotten I think. The original just worked much better for me. The ending is the perfect example. Sure the new twist is interesting and all. But the original twist was brilliant and a classic film moment and it worked really well in the story too. The new ending... well I looked around on the net for other people's take on it. And it's like no one can come up with a simple, plausable solution that just explains it with no flaws. It seems like the ending was just thrown in to shock and baffle and to have a twist.

I loved Charlton Heston's role though. That was too cute what with the NRA thing and all. Hehe.

Speaking of movies, I deleted Moulin Rouge the other day. When my hard drive failed. I'm regretting that now. Why didn't I just watch it before I deleted it? I only got to see around half of it. Stupid me. I was quite liking it too. It didn't seem like a film I would typically love. But it was very interesting. And I really loved the scene with Ewan McGregor singing Your Song to Nicole Kidman. That was beautiful. I knew there was a reason I secretly liked Elton John.

Seriously. I loved that scene to bits. Beneath this masochistic viking exterior lurks a nerdy little romantic. Or something.

stolen picture alert

Swoon. I think it's a great idea actually. Using music like that. There's nothing better than music. When I grow up I'll make a movie like that but using smashing pumpkins and radiohead and rem and everything. Assuming I don't lose it all these days. It could work. How I Made My Millions could make any movie scene work. Skye and I, dancing in the moonlight. To ...said sadly. Or Wound. Or anything. Perfect.

I hope you don't mind.. that I put down in words.. how wonderful life is.. when you're in the world..

I like Your Song. It's so stupidly honest. Anyone who writes songs would want to write a song for their love. Lullabye For Skye. I hope you don't mind...

So what did people do before egg slicers? I have this image of a guy making himself an egg sandwich. He butters the bread. He peels the egg. And then he puts the full egg in between the two slices of egg. And there's your egg sandwich, mate.
