clix? I'm a bit tired and frustrated. I think I left my happy pills in the enchanted forest. And my brother is here. With a new skinhead haircut. Well, almost. Hah. I've never seen him like that. He used to have such long and luxurious hair. Now he looks like he forgot to shave his head this morning. It's a week ago today. Skye. I want to hold her hands again. I can't believe it's been a week. I guess because I haven't done anything except being sick and resting. It looks like we might not even be able to meet in February after all. An unexpected internet bill might get in the way. But we'll see. Mama made soup. A sure sign that summer is gone. Here's a little soup hint: if you're having balance problems don't go carrying around overfilled saucers of hot soup. Ouch. I'm listening to my old R.E.M. stuff. Finally getting it all organized. All the stuff I downloaded from the old rem archive ftp. It's been lying around for 6 months or something like that. I like it. It's interesting. Listening to a band evolve from nothingness into superstardom (and probably back into obscurity). There's something.. historical.. about listening to a concert from 1980. That's almost a quarter of a century ago. That's almost as long as I've been alive. A week ago. A quarter of a century. Not much difference. This one goes out to the one I love... Time is a funny thing. I'm still reading my old PC Format magazines too. From around 1994-95. It's funny to read the internet articles. I remember back then when the magazines came out. And the internet slowly started taking over. All the articles about how it would be the most important thing since sliced cheese on sliced bread. No mention of Internet Explorer. Just Netscape or Mosaic. 28,8 modem if you can afford it, although you probably wouldn't be able to utilize such amazing speed. The world wide web. Whatever happened to joking about surfing the web? Now it's like a normal thing to say. I surf the web. Back then it was pictures of people in funny clothes actually surfing on strange surfboards. "These things are starting to appear right now and all you need is an ordinary PC to take part in it. Within a few years being connected to the Net will be as common as having a telephone line or a TV set - and could even replace both. Before long you won't need a CD-ROM drive in your computer - you'll be permanently connected to a computer system offering terrabytes of instant on-line information". Ah those were the days. When the CD was replacing the floppy disc on the cover. Back when Anna & Lotte on fredagsbio used to mean something, man. And Mette Weyde was hosting Transit. And Monkey Island 2 came on 15 discs. And cordless keyboards weren't hip, they were just regular keyboards that had been in an accident. Everything was much better back then. Except of course it was much worse. I miss Anna & Lotte. Bamse og kylling. Children's TV. I think Denmark has world class children's TV. Or at least they used to. Hulu bulu, Lotte hvor er du henne?!? np: r.e.m. - dark globe (871125) ...Won't you miss me? Why don't you miss me at all..?pulling me back and forth clix
