Howdy, partners.

Still no news on my computer. I am living in safemode these days. I miss sound. There are no sound drivers in safemode, all I hear is a *beep* noise that reminds me of 1996 when 250mb hard drives were considered huge and CD-ROM drive was the subject of young Plume's wet computer dreams.

But now it's weekend and I'll devote my time to trying to fix this thing. I have a little list full of things to try. And 10 sites bookmarked for me to look at. All I can hope is that something will work. Otherwise I'll have to start looking at repearing/reinstalling windows. Or getting tech help from some (expensive no doubt) place. We'll see.

The main thing is that I'm not letting it get me down. Sure, it's not nice. But I've had a good day and I'm feeling happy. More proof that I'm stronger and depression no longer holds me in its grip. I can have a happy day even when my computer is broken. Amazing.

I wanted to sing in the bus. I was listening to my mp3 player. Sometimes it makes me sad to see everybody go around with earphones in their ears. Everyone listening to their own tune. We should share the music. I feel like plugging my mp3 player into some huge speakers and blasting my music to everyone. But then people probably wouldn't like my music. I know I wouldn't particularly care to hear a thumping techno beat or inane rapping. So unless we can all agree that my music taste is the superior one then maybe headphones is the way to go.

We should still sing out loud once in a while though.

Pretty good day. Work was comfortable. Mazen came in. Nice to see him again. I downloaded XP SP2 and burned it on a CD. Brought it home. But in safemode my computer doesn't want to show contents of CDs I put in the drive. Silly computer. Oh well. If I do uninstall SP2 then I guess I can just download it again from windowsupdate. Sometime. I can't seem to use windowsupdate in safemode either. Fun fun.

But no, no more computer stuff. I went to the playground on my way home from work. To get some cheering up by my animal friends. And I brought carrots for everyone.

Last time I was up there I fed carrots to Kees:

And he seemed to love them. He started coming up to me! Normally he's so shy, backs away from you. But I actually had him approaching me, like he wanted more. He's a sweetheart.

So I brought carrots for all today. It's nice to feed them properly. Flathanded with carrots. For the horses of course.

I had done some shopping in Favorit. I put my plastic bag on a bench and walked around. Looking at the different animals.

The geezers. And Mrs Piggy. The piglets are really growing now. None of the pics of them turned out good unfortunately.

Haha. That little guy was running around free again. The rest were in their cages. You can see him appreciate his freedom. Maybe he was planning to spring his mate?

And of course while I was walking around with the animals Blackie started eyeing my bags.

Soon he was jumping up on the bench. You gotta be on your toes with that guy. He's a sneaky fella.

But I'm always so glad to see him. So much fun. And cuddly too, even though you have to watch out for your coat.

So that was a good time as always. I must remember to buy more carrots.

Oh, in the previous entry I mentioned that I had gotten my birthday present from Skye. Well I think I completely forgot to tell you what she got me? She got me The Cat Who'll Live Forever by Peter Gethers. The third book about Norton, the smartest cat in the world. It's the book about Norton's death. I hope it won't be too sad. I'm only 4 chapters in, but it's great to hear about Norton again. Makes me want to get my own kitten even more. Must get my computer fixed so I can turn my attention to house searching and other things again.

Yes yes. My birthday is on Tuesday. In case you want to buy me a mansion.

I added a "diary pics" link on the left-hand side. I opened up my photobucket accounts. For all the various pics that I've been posting that didn't make it to the plumepics diary. A lot of them are just generic "I was there" pictures. Nothing special. But nice memories. Of snow storms and animals and sugar and spice. Like this little princess. Aw.
