Lots to talk about today I think. Better get started.

My guestbook is still being wacky and not showing any entries. Bothersome. But I put a nice big link to my old guestbook on it so don't let it stop you from delivering pizza or death threats. Whichever takes your fancy.

Lovely. The vast majority voted positivily. Luckily. One person said it was boring. Which puzzles me, because I didn't think that the American forces would let Saddam go on the internet while he's in their custody. But ok. Nyarr. I am well pleased with the result. Thank you people.

Before we get to the current events we migth as well take today's calendar candle then. December 15th is ready for the picking. And you one person who never clicks it anyway, you can go play with yourself in the meantime. Oh and the person who is puzzled that the candle never burns down, don't worry. I might just have something for you one of the next days...

Anyway, on with it.

There. Continuing yesterday's theme of nisser. It was suggested that the English word for nisse could be gnome. Which makes sense, because I know that a garden gnome is a havenisse. So that fits. Maybe gnome is the right word. It just doesn't seem cute enough, I don't know. Gnome to me doesn't say christmas and tiny red suits and stuff. But I guess it's the closest thing I got. Let the gnomes be known.

So. The current events. Today was a pretty good day at the Barn. Why? Well, do you remember Lucky?

Aw. I remember Lucky. And he was at work today. The loveliest dog in Denmark. He's gotten so big. I used to be quite scared of dogs. And Lucky is starting to get the size and look of a dog that might frighten me. But Skye has taught me that most dogs are sweet, wonderful things. And Lucky definitely is a sweetheart. He's still so amazingly well-behaven and nice and sweet. He's just wonderful. Cuddling him makes me happy. Alltogethernow "awwww".

Everybody loves him and cuddles him muchly. He isn't a pretty purebreed like Skye's Sascha (the loveliest dog of them all) but he's still adorable. This might be the last time I ever see him. I will always have the memories. And some great video clips.

Also today I got my christmas present from the Barn. Same as it ever was, a calendar book for next year. Not exciting but it's nice that they do it. And a lovely little card too. The rest of the workers got theirs at the christmas party. That was last Friday. I didn't go. Because in Denmark office christmas parties are mainly about getting drunk and then drunker. Drunk and Drunkerer, in a cinema near you. It's not my scene, though. Well, parties in general aren't. Too many people in too little space. And with too many drinks.

Oh and two cops came and picked up Peter ComputerGuy when we were having coffee. Heh. He had to go to fogedretten. I'm not sure what that is in English. Some kind of settlement court when you owe money. First they call you in. If you don't come then the next time you'll get picked up by the cops so they're sure you come. Kind of embarrassing but we all smiled at it. The cops too. Karen and Svend (Lucky's owner) had both tried the same thing. So it's not like we all sat around and gossiped meanly about it. Just funnily about it.

So that was an eventful day. Cafer wasn't there, something about his son being in the hospital. Hope that will all be okay.

On my way home I met the jedi kitties. If you look closely you can see that they're actually both sitting down there. All cuddled up together. In fact it looked to me like there were 3 kitties sitting under the wagon thing. I'm not sure though. And I didn't want to go closer to look because they always run away if you get too close. And I didn't want to disturb them, they looked all comfy. Maybe they were sitting together like that because it's too cold. Yesterday I was out for my walk in the evening, it was all dark and cold. And one of the kitties was sitting under the wagon. I guess they're just outside all day. Even when the janitors leave and go home. I wouldn't mind taking them into the heat. I feel a great urge to have and to hold some kitties or doggies. Cuddling Lucky has brought up by peternal instincts I guess. It's a word. I don't mean paternal.

Back home I had a pretty good talk with my mother. She was quite insisting that they had to meet Skye. But I already told Skye that she doesn't have to meet my parents yet. She's pretty nervous about it. So I told my mother that we were both shy and that they shouldn't expect anything. And she was very understanding. I like when my mother is understanding and helpful and nice. It makes me feel like we're a real family, like we care about each other. Instead of always wearing on eachother's nerves and getting in stupid fights. It's really good to be reminded that they do care about me. I went for a long time feeling that they didn't at all. I guess it's called "being a teenager". Or something like that.

And we have all the time in the world, Skye will meet them when we're good and ready for it. I know it was very hard for me to meet her parents. I just didn't have much choice.

I have to be buying our christmas tree soon. And our supplies. Get everything in order. There's only a week now. It's so very close.

Yeah my parents aren't all bad. Remember I said I was getting the special extended edition of The Two Towers? Well, turns out I will be getting the super mega extended version with a special gollum figure and bonus 5th dvd. Wow. Hehe. My mother told me. They didn't have the normal extended version. Only the super extended version. And I don't mind. Precious.

And that, as they say, is that. Now it's time for bed. And counting down the days. Bye bye.
