about a football

Even my flaws are flawed.

I stayed home from work of course. You know there's something so wrong about skipping work and still having to get up at 8.20. Damnit.

It finished Senegal - Denmark 1-1 in case you were wondering. Not a particularly good game. I blame FIFA. The numbskulls. It's all politics and money. They moved Denmark's game so we had to play in 45 degrees heat. Celsius of course. That's very, very hot for a scandivian side. But for an African team it's probably not too bad.

I just hate that. They move the game to make more money and they don't care that the soccer gets worse. Denmark can do so much better. We did against Uruguay.

And then there is the referee situation. They have this stupid rule that every country that participates in the world cup has to have a ref there too. Instead of picking the best ones they pick after nationality. And I don't want to belittle anyone but there just aren't that many great referees coming out of Jamaica and Costa Rica and those kind of "smaller" football nations.

It's just so frustrating when the referee robs your team of a perfectly good goal. Hands my ass. And there was one of the Senegalese players who was practically punching people in the face without anything happening. Geez. "hey, let's make them play in insane heat and then encourage them to fight a lot. That'll make for good soccer". I love you FIFA.

And those were the excuses. Now we play the defending world champions France on Tuesday and if we lose by two goals then we're probably out. So I'm looking forward to an exciting boring game with a massive forced defense from Denmark because we have to play in the peak heat again. Kiss you FIFA.

But soccer is really not important of course. Nevermind.

It's still too hot here as well. Although not 40 degrees at least. They should play the world cup in my back yard. Oh and I put the link to my scans on the left in case you haven't checked it out yet, hint hint.

And dig this. One of the Danish tabloid magazines just published a big story about one of the Danish players, Stig Tøfting. He found his parents dead when he was 13. Killed. 19 years ago. A big secret. Then two months ago this tabloid calls him up and asks for him to comment on it. He doesn't want them to print the story. They sit on it for two months. And then they publish it the day before game against Senegal. Isn't that lovely? And the best part? Tøfting and his wife hasn't told their kids about it. And the kids are alone back in Denmark because the wife went with Tøfting to the world cup. So now these 3 kids get to read that wonderful story about their grandparents. And their parents are a million miles away.

It makes me sick. why the bleep would they print that story? And the editor is surprised that there's an public outrage against his magazine and the national team will boycot it. Yeah. I'm sure he's surprised. Cause he's that stupid.

Oh life is beautiful. I kiss you FIFA and Se & Hør.

Yeah. It's a world full of monsters.
