The day started so good. It was snowing. Finally I got to see the snow falling... Finally. But of course it stopped later, and it didn't really grab a hold, it's almost gone.

And then came the bad news. Mother dear invited a friend from her work to come spend the night. How selfish of her. Apparently it's been snowing more in other parts of Denmark and this friend's car isn't that reliable... so my selfish mother invites her to stay here. Damn. Oh well. So now while I'm writing this my mother is sleeping in the living room, the room where the computer is. Damn. No jacking off, and just when I got the footsluts too. Damn. Hehe. I'll get by. I spent some nice time in my room listening to Adore.

WARNING: Lasse is going to go into a lot of blablabla'ing about the smashing pumpkins. You've all heard it before, just cut it out, put it in a brown bag and distribute it to the poor...

Ah. Adore is still the best cd I have. It was also the first pumpkins cd I ever waited for to be released. I became a fan around the time when Mellon Collie came out. So I've only seen the release of Adore and Machina. I remember hearing some of the songs from Adore on MTV, watching the pumpkins play them live before the cd was out. It was so amazing. I'll never get to experience that excitement again. Never circle a date in my calender, writing NEW SP CD and then waiting, waiting, waiting for the cd to come. Sigh. I love Adore. When I listen to it I sometimes think "oh, that song isn't that great". "That song isn't the best". But when it's over it just all matches up so perfectly. I'd never take any songs away from it. The funny thing is that if I was forced to remove a couple of songs I'd probably choose Ava Adore and Perfect. And that was the two singles... I guess I just see beyond the commercialism and look at the true artblablabla. Adore would've probably sold worse if I'd picked the singles. Blank Page and For Martha would go in my top 5 of pumpkins songs any day but they'd probably suck as singles.

Oh and while I'm talking pumpkins... I'm listening to my huge playlist of pumpkins songs on random play. And I know you want to know... so here it is: My playlist (copy/paste url). That's neato. A WinAmp generated playlist. Neato indeed. I use the word neato too much now. I don't know why. I find it charming.

WARNING: Lasse is still going on and on and on about the pumpkins. Go make yourself a cup of coffe and/or soup and come back in a while. So where was I? Oh yes... the smashing pumpkins. There's no place for them in the world today. And it's understandable. I don't mind. After all Adore sold like crap though it's gold, diamonds and pearls all in one. Machina is their weakest cd. It's a great cd, but just not as good. It lacks emotion in some way. Billy talked about that on storytellers. How people said it was colder... but that was because that was the way he's feeling. Not because he's stopped writing about his own feelings, just because his feelings are colder like that. Or something. I like Machina a lot but it doesn't give me the same great garmonbozia as Adore, Mellon Collie, Siamese, Gish, Pisces, Aeroplane. Or the stuff I get on the net. Like Machina 2. which is of course generally ignored even though it's a great cd, the last album from a great band, and free on the net. Ingrates. Yeah, they may have broken up and they may have lost a lot of fans... but I'll always love them. Above pretty much anything else. I can't think of anything or anyone I love more. Sad but true. Everything from lousy live recordings from 88 to overproduced rockpop from 2000. I love it all. I can't wait for James Iha's solo album and whatever Billy "the lost kid" Corgan does next I will be there. And I'll love it.

I was doing some more mst3k'ing at their site... and found out it had been canceled! No! Why? Dammit. It's the greatest show on earth. There's 10 seasons I think, and I've watched about 1½. So there's still lots to see if it ever comes back to Denmark in some way. I want my Sci-fi channel back. GRergh. I mentioned my favourite episode, the russian thing. So... tomorrow is the last day... the last day of them all. Ever. Then we all die in the real millennium. I'll probably make an early entry tomorrow. Since the millenium hits Denmark before any of you guys out there... assuming Earth doesn't explode after all, I'll be in the future. While you'll all be in the past. Why do I suddenly get a craving for chocolate?

I've found the hard drive I want. Well, it's the same that's been in my mind for a while. It's 30 gigs. It's 2000 danish kroners. A bit much, but then it comes with an ide cable. Which I think is good, it's been one of the worries, if I need to buy that separately. But I'm very scared. I don't like the idea of going to the shop and buying it. I don't like the idea of opening my computer and all that crap. And then figuring out how to install it and set it up and so on. I'm weak. But I neeeed that hard drive. Imagine, soon you might not get to hear me say that... It'll be scary. You'll miss it. Like I've missed downloading. Oh I miss having CuteFTP running in the background all day. Taking a nap while it downloads another few megabytes. I'll get a 30 gig hard drive to fill with pumpkins stuff. If it works. So if I stop writing after tuesday/wednesday next week then it's either because I'm long dead in the explosion of Earth or because my computer exploded during the installation of the new hard drive. Or because my head exploded while looking at Katie Holmes's wonderful breasts. Thankyouverymuch.

So the meaning of life and the universe is... no, wait I'd rather get around to Starla June. That's a person. She and I ... oh wait, I think my time is up for tonight. Some other day.
