Uh oh. Beware. I Saw Lou Bega on German tv today. Beware, Bega's Back! Take cover. Mambo number fiiiive And in other horrible music news. Today was the day of the EuroVision Music Contest. Hosted by Demnark. Because we won it last year. This year Estonia won. But I think Denmark finished second. Imagine the horrors of us hosting it again. I'm just glad it's over with. All of you americans can't imagine the pain of this event. It hurts. Truly madly deeply. evermore But now that's over. I had to listen to it because ma mama was watching it. They even had Aqua playing. Gargh. life in plastic It hurts. oh the pain of it all If you don't like this opinion then I believe Young has another. It includes nuking Estonia and stuff. I don't quite agree. But as long as the lead underwear stays in the closet, then I'm fine. look! in the sky! This is going to be an entry with a musical theme. For a change. Theme Plume Park Let's move on to Audio Galaxy. I went on napster earlier. And found no songs by JJ 72. No songs by soulwax. No songs by the smashing pumpkins. And no songs by radiohead. I don't know if that's the famous napster filter in effect. It's the first time that's happened to me. I tried using napigator to log onto an unoficial server but none of them would let me on. Stupidos. el stupido grandes So that neatly leads to Audio Galaxy. Because I decided to finally download it and check it out. I'm not too keen on it. Doesn't seem very intuitive to me. But I guess it's a matter of getting used to it. I'm too used to napster. But I got the soulwax songs immediately. And now I'm downloading JJ 72. So I guess it works. but at what cost? However. And here comes da ranting I do NOT appreciate the webhancer, mates. I know it was somewhere in the license agreement. But who reads those things? We all click ok and get on with it. Webhancer is a nice little program that installs itself on your computer. And then it does all sorts of illegal evil destructable things. Actually I think it measures how fast sites load and then gives the info to the sites for money. It's probably not too big a deal. But it IS spyware. And it IS buggering. And I don't appreciate it, m8s. I recognised webhancer because I saved something from a virus newsgroup about it. A stern warning. It seems if you delete it it'll screw up your computer royally. And the problem is... the anti-spyware/virus pages says you shouldn't use the "windows add/remove" function because it'll kill your computer. And the guy on the newsgroup said he had to reformat his hard drive. But then webhancers official webpage says that's how you're supposed to do it and if you use the advice on the anti-spyware pages THEN you'll screw it all up. So I dare not delete the bugger. I don't know which way to do it without killing my internet and email and whatnot. So I just told MSconfig not to load it on startup. And it worked fine. It doesn't load itself. It's still on my computer.. but if it doesn't load then what's the poblem? No poblemo, m8. Right? I hope. And now I'm ready to steal even more music. Thief!! So I'm safe. Obviously. or... AM I?!=! And continuing with the musical theme: lalalalalala I wanted to bring up Tina Dickow again. She has a record out. Her debut. Old Plume readers might remember that I went to school with her. Then she got a part in a tv thing. Then she got a band and won a talent contest. And released a couple of songs. And got the big record deal. And now here's what's cool: the record label was pressuring for hits and she felt it was compromising her talent and stuff (I read this on her page, I don't actually know her anymore). So she quit. And went to the bank. And made her own record label! How cool is that. So now she can guard the integrity of her songwriting and stuff. And stuff. I just think that's so cool. Incidentally Popstars Denmark is starting soon. Find some good looking girl and make them stars through a tv show. Probably with songs written by old swedish guys. Much better than forming your own record label to withold artistic rights, don't you agree? Selling out means selling big! Yeah! But anyway. Back to the real musicians (ooooh!). Tina Dickow now has her debut album out. You can even listen to 3 of the songs here. The songs are at the bottom. You should probably ignore the article. Unless you know Danish. But the songs. Get them. Oh and a high speed connection would help. I couldn't get it to work properly. It kept buffering. And you're not allowed to download them I guess. But go listen. And then take the bus to Denmark and buy her album. Support the local Danish music scene. Even if you're not Danish. (And let's face it, most of you probably aren't). poor schmoes Did I mention she was nekkid in that tv thing? Not that her being naked is a big deal. And I only have the tape here 5 years later because it's an interesting social phenomenon and I like her boobs. my masturbate tape *blushes* Ahem. forget I said that But you wait and see. She'll be the next big thing. And you saw her here first! Plume, bringing new talent to old eyes. and oogles her talents too! And you know that's why I'm so important. pale importance But apart from that. tear me apart from you It think that was all the music today. Go download the smashing pumpkins's's cover of The Joker. And then come back and call me the space cowboy. really love your peaches And before I go let me just mention that diaryland is still going very very very very slowly for me. And so is signmyguestbook. And notifylist.com. Now I'm not paranoid, but do you hate me, Andrew? everybody hates me :( It's because I'm so popular isn't it? Don't hate me because I'm beautiful! Go hate Perceptions or Unclebob. They're evil. Bandwidth hoggers. it's a joke people! I don't mean that! Sorry. It's just this lack of diarylandness is making me old and bitter. more so. I ... can't .... breeeathe ... breathe in, breathe out I'm going to go to sleep in my oxygen tank. machinehead night all that includes you np: pumpkins - 1979 (960407)
