dialer attack

Dear Jack Frost,

Now that it's time for you to leave I just want to say goodbye and thanks for the good times. I will miss the snow. And the frosty trees. I will miss using my window sill as an extra fridge. And I will miss freezing my behind off in the morning.

Sort of.

But we'll meet again next winter.

Let me quote my plan from last Sunday:

"Monday: buy burner. Tuesday: pick up dad's package. Wednesday-friday: stay alive. Weekend: stay alive, but use less energy. I think that's about it."

Now let's see what happened. Monday I bought my burner. Tuesday I picked up the package from my dad. Wednesday-Friday I stayed alive despite the big event on Thursday and the hell-in-the-attic on Friday. And I stayed alive over the weekend too despite an aching back, an aching leg and an often aching head too.

All in all I guess it has been quite succesful. A long week. But no plans for next week. Hopefully my body will get back in sync and stop aching. My back is almost okay. My leg is still sore. They should give me an extra couple of weekend days. I deserve it. You know, because life is so hard on me and all that. Wah-wah.

The war is weird. But not haha weird. One second I'm watching footage of Baghdad being blasted, bombed, torn apart. And then we go to footage from a hospital with old women dancing in Saddam's honor. And then footage of some Iraqi army official talking about how things are going. I guess I imagined war more like sort of total thing. War on Iraq would mean that no one could be "normal" and appear on tv and go about their lives. It's like a split reality. On one hand there's war and fighting and death. And then on the other there is still a degree of normality and life going on.

I don't know.

It's kind of funny that people make signs that say "god bless America". Doesn't Iraq need it a bit more right now? Okay, not very funny really.

Different strokes, different gods.

Who's in a bunker, who's in a bunker? We're not scaremongering, this is really happening.

I think there will be a Radiohead only mix CD.

Ice age coming, ice age coming.

You'd like that song, Jack.

A little nuclear winter to warm our souls, with much love

Plume
