free flight

Good news from work today. Managed to talk to Knud Erik about vacation. And he said it shouldn't be a problem. January 3rd. The first week of the year. So we can go ahead and plan that. Skye and I.

We'll be going to one of the centerparcs. We still have to pick which one. And there's travel accomodations. I hate travelling. I guess I will be flying for the first time. Funnily enough I'm not really scared of the part where the plane is in the air, I'm more scared of airports full of people and getting on the wrong plane (yes, I know that isn't even possible really) and all those sort of things. But it beats 12 hours in a bus. I don't really want to do that again. And now I have actually been to an airport, when I sent Skye home last christmas. So it's not all new.

We'll see how it goes. Once the travelling is over the good stuff will begin.

The good stuff is over for my dad's brother. He's getting divorced. Sad. I have fond childhood memories of going to their place for big family feasts. For the birth of their kids. Huge dinners around huge tables full of family. Of course that's a long time ago. I have since retreated from family affairs. Their kids are almost grown and things change. "She's a lot younger than him" my mother said. I wonder if she realizes that it's the exact same situation between her and my dad. She's younger too. I don't know why they're still together. Settled dust I guess.

On a slightly nicer note, remember Tina Dickow? My old classmate turned actress turned musician? Who won Danish grammies and got signed to Sony? You don't? Well, if you want to see what she looks like and want to listen to a couple of songs you can do just that here. You will need RealPlayer or alternative though. She was on Morning Becomes Eclectic, talking and singing. As Tina Dico of course. So when she talks about growing up in Denmark just imagine me running around somewhere close by. There's a solo performance of Home too, the song she did with Zero 7.

So I heartily recommend checking that out. And buy her album when it comes out. Support the good arts.

Do it for old Plumey.

Aaand we're out.
