Who is going to police the police?

What an eventful day. Let's start at the beginning. Work. That wasn't too eventful really. The highlight was when Peter turned up the radio in the kitchen. I was just getting the broom at that point so I decided to do a funky airguitar impression with it. It was rather good I would say. Made Peter laugh. Human interaction is fun. Sometimes.

After work I decided to seize the moment. And go to the police station. Yes, after a long life of crime I finally turned myself in and... no no, in Denmark you get your passport at the police station. So I went to apply for one. My old one ran out in 1998. That's no good if you're planning to go to Amsterdam. So off to the police station I went. It's quite an intimidating building isn't it? It looks like something out of a Star Wars movie. Almost. There be Jawas in them there buildings.

It is kind of scary to go into a police station. You never know what kind of psychotic maniacs you'll meet. And I'm not just talking about the cops.

Thank you, you're too kind. No really. Stop it.

But things went fairly smoothly and in 2 weeks I should recieve my brand spanking new passport. And then I'm ready to go to Tahiti, baby.

They didn't even reject my horrible passport pictures. I took them at the train station. They have a handy photo booth, as endorsed by the police. That brought back memories. I haven't been there since Skye was here last October. Too many people though. I guess that's how train stations are supposed to be. Crowded.

And then a bus ride home. Watching the people go by. Watching the animals go by. That sign says "Åbyhøj's animal basement". Someone should tell the dog. Why is he standing out there, he should be in the basement with the other dogs. I think.

With that all succesfully done everything seemed rosy. I Went back to planning things with Skye. Things were going well. And then we realized that plane tickets are more expensive than we thought. Kind of a lot more. That's a bit of a problem. I mean, I can afford them. But how much money can you allow yourself to spend on a two day trip? I don't know. We're still looking into things. Maybe it will be okay. But now I'm worried again.

Now it's late and I'm tired. Brøndby won their semi-final in the Danish cup. Enterprise started on swedish TV. So at least everything is not all bad. Maybe it will be okay.

I want my weekend now.
