clix? I would like to dedicate today's entry to Dave Coullier.
Coulier? I remember the good old days. When I had a tiny lousy tv and three channels. And Full House was fresh and exciting. And when I'd seen them all they'd start all over. And sometimes they would just send random episodes. And I would be disappointed when it was the early seasons because then dj wasn't hot. And the Beach Boys! Yes. It's been a reminiscing day. I've been having a head ache and minor depression so I've buried myself in the past. Memories of what never was. Good stuff. Like my favourite Donald Duck writer. Don Rosa. He's the best, Jerry. The best. In Denmark we have the Donald Duck Magazine. I think in America you have a Mickey Mouse mag instead? But in Denmark we've always had Donald. As far back as I can remember. And I used to love those weekly magazines. Who doesn't like Donald Duck? When you're a kid you have to. It's like red soda. And red sausages. And morbid fantasies about war and death. But then you grow up and lose your appetite for all that. Well most of it. And I lost my appetite for Donald Duck. Almost. I still loved Don Rosa's stories. It's all the detail he crams in the pictures. There's so much stuff going on. All the other Donald stories are tame and boring compared to Don Rosa. I used to spend so much time just enjoying all the little ideas and details in his drawings. I still have an old and very worn collection of Donald Duck magazines with his stories in them. We used to collect Donald Duck magazines. I used to collect superhero magazines too. And Beetle Bailey. And probably lots of stuff I don't even remember. But over the years I've taken all those magazines to "bogshoppen". The Bookshop. It was a franchise of used books/mags/videos/whatever store. You'd come in and trade your stuff. The local one is closed by now but I think there are still some of them around. Anyway, all my collection of everything has been traded in there. Except for the Donald Duck magazines that had Don Rosa stories. I still have them. Very, very worn. Falling apart. And they don't mean that much to me actually. But I still have them around. And I still think they're pretty great. Now I'm reading about his Scrooge McDuck lifestory. He's my hero. There's so much pointless stuff to read on the net. I love usenet. All these fleeing thoughts from everyone. All through the ages. Sort of. I wanted to read something about Seven. Not from Voyager but from Married With Children. Wanted to read about why he disappeared from the show. And then I got sidetracked and read about the final episode of that show. And that lead to reading about final episodes from other shows. One of them was Cheers so I started reading about that. And then I got sidetracked again and went off on a Frasier tour and the inconsistencies between his character in Cheers and his own show. And I could've probably kept going on like that forever. It's the perfect waste of time. And somebody really needs to buy Billy Corgan a proper message board server. I miss you Dave. np: zwan - all day and all of the night (020405) ...girl.. i want.. to be with you.. all of the time.. all day.. and all of the night... back and forthclix
